Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lumyn (the "App"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Lumyn, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Service Description

Lumyn is an AI-powered application for generating and editing images and videos. Features, models, and pricing may change over time.

3. Accounts

• The App uses an anonymous, device-based account and session.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs on your device and account.
• You can delete your account from within the App's settings.

4. User Content

• You retain the rights you hold in the content you upload.
• You grant Lumyn a limited license to host, store, process, and transmit your content — including to third-party AI providers — as necessary to provide generation and editing services to you.
• You must have all rights and permissions needed to upload and use the content you submit.
• You may not upload illegal, harmful, infringing, or abusive content.

5. AI-Generated Outputs

• AI outputs may be imperfect, unexpected, similar to other users' outputs, or unsuitable for certain uses.
• You are responsible for reviewing outputs and for complying with applicable laws and third-party rights when you use them.
• We make no guarantee that outputs are unique, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use Lumyn for:

• Any illegal activity.
• Harassment, abuse, or threats.
• Sexual exploitation or any content involving minors.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Impersonation or deceptive uses.
• Infringing the intellectual property of others.
• Reverse engineering, attacking, or abusing our backend.
• Automated scraping or other abuse of the service.
• Uploading content you do not have the rights to use.

7. Credits, Coins, and Subscriptions

• The App may offer subscriptions and coin packs.
• Subscription credits reset each billing period; unused subscription credits do not roll over.
• Purchased coins accumulate unless refunded or adjusted under applicable policy.
• Generation costs are shown and managed by the App and backend.
• Credits and coins have no cash value and are not transferable.

8. Billing and Auto-Renewing Subscriptions

• Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled in your store account settings before the end of the current period.
• Cancellations and refunds are handled under Apple's and Google's policies.
• Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription.
• Manage or cancel your subscription through the App Store or Google Play.

9. Refunds

• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google where applicable.
• A refunded coin pack may reduce your purchased coin balance accordingly.
• A refunded or revoked subscription may remove the related entitlement and any subscription credits.

10. Availability and Changes

The service may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. AI providers we rely on may fail or experience delays, which can affect generation.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for abuse or violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the App.

12. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that outputs are accurate, unique, or appropriate for any purpose.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumyn and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

14. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services, including AI generation providers, RevenueCat, Apple and Google, and storage/hosting providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
