Privacy Policy

Lumyn ("Lumyn", "we", "us", or "our") provides an AI-powered image and video generation and editing application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Introduction

Lumyn lets you create and edit images and videos using artificial intelligence. You can upload your own media and prompts, generate new outputs, and manage subscriptions and coin-based credits. This policy describes how we handle information across these features.

2. Information We Collect

Account & session information

The App uses anonymous, device-based accounts. We collect an anonymous user ID, an installation ID, a device identifier, and authentication/session token metadata used to keep you signed in. We do not require your name or email to use the App.

Device & app information

Platform (iOS/Android), app version, operating system version, and device model.

User content

Images and videos you upload as a reference for a generation are used solely to produce the output you request and are not retained afterward — see Section 4 for details. The prompts and parameters you provide, and the outputs the App generates for you, are stored so the App can deliver and display your creations.

Purchase & subscription data

When you purchase a subscription or coin pack we receive purchase-related data through RevenueCat and the app stores, including a RevenueCat app user ID, product IDs, entitlement status, subscription lifecycle events, and your coin balance and ledger. We do not collect or store your payment card details — payments are processed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.

Push notification data

If you enable notifications, we store your Expo push token, the platform it belongs to, and your notification preference/status so we can tell you when a generation is ready or send service messages.

Usage & diagnostic data

To operate and secure the service we record events such as generation and app/backend activity, your IP address, user-agent, timestamps, the request path and method, and error logs.

Support & feedback

If you contact us (for example by email), we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your message and contact address.

3. How We Use Information

• Operate your account and keep your session active.
• Provide AI image and video generation and editing.
• Store, process, and display your uploads and generated outputs.
• Manage subscriptions, entitlements, and coin balances.
• Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security issues.
• Debug, monitor, and improve performance and reliability.
• Send push notifications you have enabled.
• Respond to support and feedback requests.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. AI Processing and Providers

To perform a generation you request, the image or video you upload and your prompt are sent to our third-party AI processing partner, fal.ai, solely to generate the requested output. We do not store the image or video you submit — it is deleted immediately after the generated result is delivered to you. fal.ai processes this content only to return your result; it does not use your content to train its models, and it may otherwise handle it according to its own terms and privacy policy. We do not extract, analyze, or store any biometric or facial data from your uploads. Please do not upload content you do not have the rights to use.

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple's App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. We receive purchase status, product IDs, and entitlement updates so we can unlock features and credits. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

6. Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the service:

• Service providers: hosting and storage, AI generation providers, RevenueCat, analytics/diagnostics, and email/support tools.
• Legal & safety: when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or Lumyn.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. Retention

• Images and videos you upload as a generation reference are deleted immediately after the result is delivered to you — see Section 4.
• Generated outputs and the prompts/parameters used to create them are retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
• Logs are retained for a limited period for security and debugging.
• Billing and coin-ledger records may be retained longer where required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
• When you delete your account we remove or deactivate the account and make your user content inaccessible where practical.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account from inside the App: open Settings → Delete Account and confirm. If you cannot reach the App, email hello@lumynvideo.com from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.

Deletion revokes your sessions, disables your push tokens, and removes or anonymizes your personal data where practical.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. You must manage and cancel subscriptions from your store account settings.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, delete, correct, or object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@lumynvideo.com.

10. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. International Transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure such transfers have appropriate protections.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
